Candidate Spotlight: Sara Pasti
Jesse J. Smith writes that while I am a relative newcomer to Kingston I am no stranger to city government, referring to my three two-year terms on Beacon’s City Council, which involved addressing the development that was anticipated to come with the opening of the Dia Beacon Museum.
He tells about my belief that Kingston’s elected officials had taken the right approach through partnerships with RUPCO and other nonprofits to develop affordable housing and my support for boosting affordable housing stock. There is not just one way to address housing, there are multiple ways, and you use whichever ones work to meet that need.
It mentions my support public safety measures including an initiative towards community policing, engaging with the public to be more closely connected to the community they serve, and expanding the city’s mobile mental health response team.
